Alexi Giannoulias - "The Choice: Ethics"
Help Keep Illinois Blue!!
"Alexi's my friend…I know his character. You can trust him. You can count on him...On his very first day in office, Alexi enacted sweeping ethics reforms. He's proven himself as someone who isn't afraid to stand up to special interests...Alexi's not funding this campaign with federal or lobbyist money. Not a dime. He's not doing this to help the lobbyists...That's the kind of person you want in the United States Senate." - President Obama

you: beautiful rebel. you: spitting truth to power.
There is your “social self” and “essential self”. Your essential self is your true self. It alone knows what you need to thrive. It tries to send that knowledge up through your social self like seedlings struggling up through the dirt to break surface, seek sunlight. You get glimme

Free, Tolerant, and Happy - International - The Atlantic
The US follows the stats for nations with high levels of economic freedom in all measures except equality. In that respect, we fall far short. The author notes that we need to keep that in mind when we consider the future--for people at the top to have more, the people on the bottom don't need to stay so far down. The rising ocean should raise all boats. Our income inequality is closer to Cambodia, Azerbaijan, and other SE Asia and former Soviet countries that with the rest of the English speaking world (except UK) & Northern Europe.

Bad WiFi
Well, it's not Blogger that's stopping me from adding images to my posts. I'm at work using the WiFi provided by the City of Rock Island to access the Internet and it's too inconsistent. The signal keeps dropping out and the images are getting lost in the process or the server times me out because the lapse is too long.
I'll have to try from home—when and IF I remember!! Not only am I pretty busy, but I have "old-timers" disease too!
